A note before we start
Fertility is one of the most tender questions a person can carry into a coffee cup. We don't promise certainty. The reading is a mirror for what you already feel. For anything medical, please talk to your doctor - not to a cup.
Classic baby and pregnancy symbols
- Cradle - the most direct baby symbol; family expansion.
- Nest - a home being prepared, often near the handle.
- Bird carrying a bundle - news of a child, sometimes adoption.
- Small fish next to a larger fish - a child following a parent.
- Pomegranate / apple - fertility, especially in Persian and Greek readings.
- Intertwined small dots near the rim - early news, often within a year.
Cultural conventions across traditions
Across Turkish, Greek, Armenian and Persian families, the reader typically softens difficult fertility readings - they describe possibility, not impossibility. We follow the same convention. A cup that lacks baby symbols does not mean a baby will not come; it simply means the cup is talking about something else today.
How to ask the cup gently
- Pick one focused question, but hold it loosely.
- Drink the coffee slowly, then flip the cup.
- Wait until the cup is fully cool.
- Photograph the inside walls and upload.
- Read the answer as reflection, not prediction.
